TLDR: Sign Up for Champs Now

What is Champs?

The Championship Meet is the final meet against the other 5 teams in our division (Division D) at the Josh Davis Natatorium, a big indoor pool where the high schoolers swim. 

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place swimmers receive medals, places 4-16 receive ribbons. Plus our team could bring home a banner to proudly display to the neighborhood!

Who can swim?

Each team is allowed 6 swimmers per age group. The swimmer must have an entry time from one of the 4 dual meets this season.  If your swimmer would like to participate but you're not sure if they're eligible, please reach out to me or Coach Erick. 

This meet is a little different from the dual meets in that the team pays for each event entry so please do your best to keep your commitment if you decide to participate.  In addition we are allowed one relay team per event and with a small team that does not allow for backups if you fail to show. 

When do we sign up?

Sign up is open now 'til Thursday, 6/19 at noon. 

This gives Coach a day to put together the events and for us to submit the roster and payment to the league.

Do I still have to volunteer?

Of course! Please sign up to volunteer while signing up your swimmer.  We tend to need as many volunteers as we have swimmer families participating so please pitch in where you can. Email us if you have any questions. Plus, only volunteers are allowed on the pool deck.  

Can my family come and watch?

Yes, the Davis Pool has bleachers and the bleachers are air-conditioned (!!).  Your swimmer may join you in the bleachers only after they've completed all of their events. 

Is that it for swim team?

Not quite. Celebrate all of the swimmers at the end-of-season party on Monday, June 30th. Evite coming soon.
