Stroke & Turn Judge Training Info

One area we consistently come up short at meets is with Stroke & Turn Judges. This is not as daunting as it sounds and we have had people in the past become judges who had no prior swimming experience. We need at least four judges per meet. Judging gives you a front seat to the action! The league has training available if you want to learn more (you only need to attend one session):

  • Zoom #1 - May 8, 6:30-7:00pm - Contact Chris Evans (210.844.6679) to RSVP & Zoom Information
    * Zoom #2 - May 13, 8-8:30pm - Contact Chris Evans (210.844.6679) to RSVP & Zoom Information
    * Zoom Recording on demand - whenever - Contact Mike (210.378.4473) for more information.
    * Hands-on - May 21st, 6pm - Summerfield pool 2600 Fairfield Bend Drive
    This is being held during time trials; 30 minutes up to 120 minutes - officials can stay as long as they want.
You can also watch these short training videos from USA Swimming. We feel that reviewing these videos is sufficient to judge our meets. Remember, we’re summer league, not the Olympic trials. Please let us know if you’re willing to be a judge this season, even if your swimmer is not able to attend every meet. Your participation helps your swimmer and the team.
